Day 1: Delhi
Fly from your country to New Delhi, you will be greeted & assisted upon arrival. Transfer to Hotel for overnight stay. Depending upon your flight timings you will have time for leisure activities and acclimatization.
Day 2: New & Old Delhi
After an early breakfast, we proceed on a guided tour of combined Old & New Delhi, Visiting such sights as Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Humayun Tomb (1586), Red Fort, Indira Gandhi National Center, India Gate, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, National Children Museum the Qutab Minar 72 meters high and one of the most perfect towers in the Persian world. The Iron Pillar which has survived the vagaries of weather for over 1500 years. Continue with a drive through Embassy area, the Government Buildings (1921-1930) and Connaught Place, the heart and main shopping district of the capital.
Afternoon we cross the city and into the walled gates of the Old city with visits to the Jama Mosque (1650) and drive through the fabled area of Chandni Chowk where the throngs of shoppers and vendors meet in the oldest area of Delhi. Visit the Red Fort (1639-1648 built by Shah Jehan the builder of the Taj Mahal in Agra) to view the inlaid and carved Royal Chambers, on to Raj Ghat and nearby ghats where the founder of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and thereafter Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were cremated.
The highlight of this tour would be a ride on cycle rickshaws. This is a remarkable way to explore and picture the hustle and bustle as well as the colour of the narrow winding streets bursting with people and pavement shops selling wares of all description - including a laughing set of dentures. The ride would be accompanied by peals of laughter both from the passengers as well as the onlookers. Return to the Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast in the morning leave for Jaipur, En -route visit "Neemrana Fort". This historic city was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh in 1727 AD after shifting his capital from Amber valley to newly formed and planned city of its time after consulting so many maps of the world and finally organized own religious map Shilpa Shastra with the help of a young Bengali architect Vidyadhar Batacharya.
Maharaja Swai Jai Singh was a builder, astronomer, astrologer, soldier, and philosopher. Presently, Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan & is world famous as the Pink City. Arrive and your first Stop will be at Amber Fort where from elephants will carry you to the Fort, gives you the experience and impression of how Maharajas & royal family members were using the services of elephants. Drive ahead and check into your hotel. Evening is for your leisure activities. Overnight stay will be at Hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel go for a half day sightseeing of the beautiful historic Pink City. You will visit City Palace, Museum, Astrological Observatory (jantar mantar), Hawa Mahal (wind palace), Ram Niwas Garden where from royal ladies were watching daily processions and daily life. Evening is for shopping in the busy streets and some excellent souvenir shops. Return to the overnight Hotels in Jaipur .
Day 5: Jaipur - Jodhpur
Early morning after breakfast at the hotel check out and drive to Jodhpur.
Jodhpur - founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 AD after shifting his capital from Mandore to Jodhpur by the advise of a holy man. Arrive & check in at Hotel, evening visit Mehrangarh Fort 125 meters above plains, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant thada and Sardar market clock tower.
Overnight stay is at Hotel.
Day 6: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur
Breakfast and leave for Udaipur. Enroute visit 15th century Ranakpur Jain Temple built in pure white marble with 80 doms supported by 1444 different carved pillars. Continue your drive to Udaipur, founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559 AD, (Maha means great & Rana means warrior, so Maharana means a great warrior). Udaipur is a beautiful city of lakes at the altitude of 577 MSL surrounded by Aravalli Hills. Arrive and check in at for overnight stay. The evening is for leisure activities and relaxation amidst the sojourn surroundings.
Day 7: Udaipur - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, visit City Palace, Jagdish temple built in 1651 AD, Fatehsagar lake and Sahalion Ki Bari. Afternoon enjoy boat ride in lake Pichola to visit Jagmandir Island. Enjoy exciting cultural folk dances of Rajasthan at Meera Kala Mandir. Return to Hotel for check out and transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Delhi.
